Cash & Maverick's orange challenge takes a swirling turn
A jar, an orange and a no-spilling rule produce an improvised solution, though one viewer questions the execution.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 54,363 views a day, 8.7 times a normal first day on this channel (6,237).
Get The Orange Out!
Reaching for the orange is the obvious move. It is also how the first attempt in Cash & Maverick's "Get The Orange Out!" ends with water spilling over the rim.
The task sounds simple: retrieve the fruit from a water-filled jar using only a hand, without losing any water. The Short has drawn roughly 40,000 views in its opening thirteen hours, putting its estimated first-day audience at nearly nine times the channel's usual for Shorts. Another challenge, "CATCH THE WHIP CREAM", is also making an unusually fast start.
Back at the jar, the male host announces, "My hand is magical." Rather than reach down for the orange, he circles his fingers near the surface, spinning the water into a vortex. The fruit rotates and begins to rise as his fellow challenger asks how he is doing it.
That apparent workaround has prompted some scrutiny: one viewer points to water escaping during the swirling attempt, while another suggests making a tornado with a hand. The no-spilling rule matters as much as getting the fruit out.
For all the host's talk of magic, his admission afterward is less confident: "I actually didn't know if that was going to work, that was cool."
