AllAttack's professional-skills lesson looks beyond the fancy footwork

Saka, Ødegaard, Rice and Bruno Guimarães feature in a breakdown of finding the right space.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Things we can learn from the video

Press to jump

  1. 0:08Scan while receiving a pass so you know where nearby defenders are.
  2. 0:43Direct your first touch into space and away from pressure.
  3. 1:49Keeping possession combines physical shielding with balance and footwork, not simply greater strength.
  4. 3:43Firm passes help the ball travel through tight windows before defenders can intercept.
  5. 4:19A sequence involving Saka, Ødegaard, Rice and Guimarães illustrates movement into useful space.
  6. 5:23Choose between retaining possession safely and making a pass that advances the attack.

Look around before the pass arrives. Take the first touch away from pressure. AllAttack's only new upload this week, "10 Skills That Make You PRO", puts the less flashy parts of soccer under the spotlight.

Field demonstrations cover shielding, turning and firm passing, but the lesson also pauses on match footage involving Saka, Ødegaard, Declan Rice and Bruno Guimarães. The point is movement: finding useful space in a game where positions and passing options keep changing. Strength gets a practical qualification, too. "And for the record, it's not so much about being a bodybuilder," the presenter says.

The tutorial has drawn about 59,000 views. Beneath it, one viewer says their coach sent them the video, while others ask for a position-by-position guide and a lesson on Ronaldo's 2008 skills. Those requests neatly extend the upload's central question: what should a player actually practice?

The more extravagant side of AllAttack remains its strongest source of daily views. July's "Learn the 10 CRAZIEST SKILLS in Soccer" is drawing roughly three times the new lesson's daily audience, with "15 BEST SKILL MOVES for MIDFIELDERS" also active.

Across the channel, daily viewing is well above its usual level, although subscribers were unchanged over the week. Its weekly views were close to ChrisMD's; SV2 had a substantially busier week, while Spencer FC was quieter. For AllAttack, the new addition gives that active skills library a grounding in what happens before the spectacular move: a glance, a touch and a decision.
