Freddy and Joey call the Grand Final, while Potts Point's streetlights go dim

Brad Fittler and Andrew Johns led fifteen uploads from the Nine program, beside Nahji Chu's council win, an Australian landmine device and a Balmain pizza.

Who do two of rugby league's great halves fancy on Grand Final day? A Current Affair put the question to Brad Fittler and Andrew Johns, and their preview of the Roosters and the Knights became the most watched of the program's fifteen uploads this week, passing 65,000 views in under two days. The pairing has a built-in tilt. Fittler is a Roosters premiership player and former coach, and Johns spent his whole career at Newcastle. Underneath, the comments read like a roll call of jerseys, with a well-liked post from a Manly supporter backing the Knights and more than one viewer arguing over whether Fittler belongs to Penrith or the Roosters.

The footy carried a second story too, "Rival footy fans prepare for war ahead of NRL grand final," with reporters on the streets of Bondi and Newcastle.

Away from the football, the week had a neat little ending in Sydney. The City of Sydney council agreed to significantly dim the streetlights above a Potts Point restaurant strip, closing a long-running dispute with Nahji Chu, the restaurateur best known for her misschu shops. The program told it twice, and the shorter "Lady Chu wins council dispute" is the one still drawing a steady crowd. Just behind the football preview in daily pace sits a hopeful story about a world-first Australian device built to help clear unexploded landmines. There was also a visit to Gigi's in Balmain, billed by the 50 Top Pizza awards as home to the finest slice in the country.

The channel as a whole ran well below its usual pace, adding a little over 2.6 million views and about a thousand subscribers. That put it in the middle of the news broadcasters of its size, where Fox News Clips had the big week and Face the Nation a quiet one.
