Things we can learn from the video

- 0:44HomeView combines a seven-inch display and A18 chip, with tabletop and wall-mounted versions.
- 1:40Proximity awareness and recognition personalize HomeView for up to six users.
- 3:28HomeView's Siri AI capabilities vary depending on the connected iPhone model.
- 6:10Apple TV 4K starts at $299; Fernando questions the price despite its A19 chip and added features.
- 8:51HomePod mini 2 adds an S10 chip and new colors, but Siri AI is delayed beyond launch.
- 10:18Fernando favors HomeView over replacing older Apple TV or HomePod devices.
Fernando finds one device especially tempting in Apple's smart-home announcements, and it isn't the streaming box. In 9to5Mac's breakdown, the HomeView display and updated Apple TV 4K share a $299 starting price. That pairing gives the familiar living-room device a difficult value question.
The video drew roughly 320,000 views in its first thirteen hours, putting it on course for a first day about ten times the channel's usual start. Its comment section has already grown several times larger than a typical full first day's, with much of the discussion focused on the Apple TV price. Several viewers say they intend to keep their older boxes rather than upgrade.
Fernando walks through the additions: an A19 chip, hands-free microphones, remote finding and support for a four-HomePod surround setup. But his verdict is restrained: "So for a lot of people, this is going to be hard to justify."
HomeView offers a different proposition. The tabletop or wall-mounted display combines FaceTime, home controls and personalized screens that respond to whoever approaches. Fernando also explains that its Siri AI capabilities depend partly on the connected iPhone, while the HomePod mini 2's Siri AI features will arrive after launch.
The channel's follow-up, "Apple Left Out Some BIG Details About HomeView...", is also starting unusually fast. It moves beyond the announcement to the practical details: differences between mounting options, the full cost and compatibility with older Apple TVs.
