One trailer, one big holdover. Yarnhub, the animated studio that puts viewers inside historical battles, posted just a short teaser this week, "When Ha-Go Tanks Ambushed M3 Stuarts: Trailer," which pits light Japanese tanks against the small American Stuarts. It opened briskly and has since settled into a gentler rhythm while the full film waits.

The real momentum belongs to a video from late August. "Wake Island: The Last Stand That Stunned Japan" follows the defenders of a Pacific atoll in December 1941, working with half-built fortifications, old coastal guns and the four surviving fighters of Marine squadron VMF-211. At 25 days old it has passed eleven million views and is still moving about three times faster than anything else on the channel.

Behind it, two tank stories keep a steady pace: Lt. Raymond Fleig's Shermans grinding through the mud of the Hürtgen Forest, and Rommel's Afrika Korps swinging around the Gazala Line. The Desert Fox film, the younger of the two, has already edged past the Sherman one in total views.

Among military and history channels of similar size, Yarnhub sits fourth by subscribers. The Military Show and Forgotten Weapons are both running well above their usual pace, as is Garand Thumb.
