Angel Reese jogs down the sideline with a towel in hand, then stops at the courtside seats for Sheryl Swoopes. The embrace is enthusiastic, but it's the few words afterward that give this Women Hooping clip its heart: "I'm so proud of you," Swoopes tells her.

Reese, wearing her red Atlanta Dream jersey, points toward the court and heads away. Swoopes stays by the seats, smiling as she watches her leave.

Posted after Atlanta's Game 2 Finals win over the Golden State Valkyries, the Short drew about 92,000 views in its first day, far beyond the clips channel's usual start. Its comment section was also much busier than usual.

Swoopes brings a particular history to that courtside meeting. She helped the Houston Comets win the WNBA's first four championships, making her part of the foundation of the league Reese plays in. Viewers are discussing that connection between generations: Reese acknowledging an early star, and Swoopes offering encouragement in return. One commenter remembers Swoopes as their favorite player.

Women Hooping also posted fast-starting clips of Atlanta's win and Reese reacting to a reporter. Here, though, the exchange needs neither a game recap nor an interview question. Swoopes supplies the words herself.
