'Feels Like Forever': Evangeline and Vulfmon return with a single off Dott

Jack Stratton played piano, bass and drums and edited the video himself, with Jonathan Rado engineering and helping on the mix.

Among the band channels near its size, Vulf had one of the gentler weeks, gaining fewer views than all but one of them. The channel is running at well under half its usual daily pace. The one new upload is the reason anyone was here at all.

That upload is "「Feels Like Forever」Evangeline & Vulfmon," another single from Dott, the Vulfmon album that Jack Stratton has been rolling out one duet at a time. Evangeline wrote it with him and sings it. Stratton covered piano, bass and drums, and he also handled the mixing and the video edit, with Jonathan Rado engineering and Carter Knopik behind the camera. Rado is best known as one half of Foxygen. The song passed 120,000 views in a week and is the busiest thing on the channel right now.

The comments read like a club that has been waiting for the next Evangeline collaboration. One viewer hears Paul McCartney in its toe-tapping bounce, another hears a Ben Folds Five B-side, and someone has already filed it under rom-com montage music. A recurring request is a duet between Evangeline and Jackie Evans. Evans's own Dott single, "Leave You," is nearly four months old and is still among the channel's steadiest videos.

Vulfpeck's "Give Me Something," two weeks old and from the album Decay of the Aura, sits between the two Dott tracks. Its full lineup is on hand, including Cory Wong, Joe Dart and Antwaun Stanley.

What viewers say

  • Jack is in his Paul McCartney granny music era, and there are no toes going untapped.
  • they dont want you to know this but this is the perfect rom-com act 2 early-romance-to-moving-in montage music
  • Some days are just days. And some days are new Evangeline and Vulfmon days. Those are good days.
