HE ACTUALLY VERIFIED GRIEF

Two and a half years of attempts ended on October 5, when the Geometry Dash player Doggie verified Grief, the level the community had spent that long waiting on. VortroxTwo, the second channel of Geometry Dash creator Vortrox, turned the moment into three uploads in a single day.

The biggest is "HE ACTUALLY VERIFIED GRIEF", cut from a live stream. The description lays out the night: the reaction itself, the game's servers going down under the rush, RobTop, the game's creator, rating the level live, an ill-advised trip into the Globed multiplayer mod, and a try at landing a top comment on the level. It passed 570,000 views in its first 24 hours. The comment section reads like a group of people who were all awake for it, with viewers noting how many Geometry Dash websites crashed, one quoting a "nobody's here" line as famous last words, and others pointing out that Grief's arrival pushed the last demon from a much older era off the top of the list.

Alongside it came a shorter cut of the verification and "I Tried A Practice Run Of GRIEF...", billed as proof of how far beyond other extreme demons the level sits. A day later, "VERITY IN GD...", a fan-made demon, picked up speed quickly too. Between the Grief videos there was also a detour to the boardwalk in "CLIPFARMING IN NEW JERSEY", with an arcade, pork roll and, per the description, a declared love of horseshoe crabs.

The channel's busiest video right now is older, though: "Geometry Dash Comes First.", a nine-day-old Short with Gina, which has passed two million views. Overall the channel ran below its usual daily pace and added about 5,000 subscribers. Even so, among the let's-play and variety channels near its size only Kenny Haller drew more views over the week.
