Press to jump
- 0:46The Steyr representative explains the AUG's naming and its history with the Austrian military.
- 3:45The green Nightfighter appears, with a coating Steyr describes as infrared-absorbing.

- 5:14The walkthrough examines changes to the optic housing, sling attachment points and case deflector.
Why does a newly posted Steyr interview contain a reference to the end of 2024? TFB TV supplies the answer: James Reeves filmed the visit then, but permission to release it only arrived this month. Viewers have been picking up on that little time capsule beneath the week's most-watched upload.
"Exclusive Hands-On with Steyr's NEW AUG Nightfighter 77A1 MOD" has drawn roughly 238,000 views. Seated across from a Steyr representative, Reeves works through generations of the Austrian rifle before reaching the conspicuously green Nightfighter. Steyr describes its specialized coating as infrared-absorbing and says it cannot be exported to the United States. The video includes sponsorship credits.
The details give the comments plenty to work with: the familiar folding grip, the green finish that recalls plastic toy soldiers, and the colorful display rifles that don't get their own explanation. Several viewers also notice Reeves' visible enthusiasm at the table.
Austria wasn't the week's only factory stop. In "The Biggest Mistake People Make Buying Suppressors," Reeves visits B&T in Switzerland, where engineer Sebastian argues that decibel ratings alone don't tell buyers the whole story. That newer interview is currently drawing views faster than the Steyr visit. An older conversation at the FBI's Ballistic Research Facility also remains among the channel's busiest videos.
Across the channel, the week brought about 1.1 million views, while the subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is above its usual level, a contrast with the slower-than-usual daily audiences at nearby channels including Military Arms Channel and sootch00. For TFB TV, the fresh material is less about a single verdict than giving engineers room to explain what a specification leaves out.
