Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

EVERY First Impression Was WRONG... NO ONE Was Prepared For THIS!

A dragon costume, a silent comedian and a clown singing Sia: Talent Recap's first-impressions compilation has plenty of ways to make an audition difficult to predict.

The clips channel draws from several shows and years, pairing Piff the Magic Dragon's comedy magic with Tape Face's mime and Puddles Pity Party's rendition of "Chandelier." Marcin Patrzalek supplies guitar fireworks with Beethoven's Fifth, while Enkh-Erdene opens the collection with Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places." The compilation has gathered roughly 448,000 views since Saturday.

It wasn't the week's most watched new upload, though. That distinction belongs to "Mary Poppins walked on and started rapping?!", Talent Recap's repackaging of Mary P.'s 2022 Britain's Got Talent performance using songs by the Black Eyed Peas and Lizzo. It's also the channel's most active video right now. In the comments, viewers trade Poppins-and-rapping wordplay, point toward dance interpretations of the songs and ask how to find the performer.

Old Men Grooving's 2015 BGT appearance follows it in daily viewing, with the young-performers compilation next. Those archive performances helped give the channel about 21 million views across the week. Subscribers stayed unchanged, even as daily viewing rose well above its usual level.

Among nearby talent-show channels, Top 10 Talent had a particularly busy viewing week, while The X Factor UK's daily audience was below its usual pace. Talent Recap's own new selections stretched beyond singing and dancing, too: HARA's 2016 AGT appearance brought illusion, technology and theatrical storytelling to the mix.

Love it. There are some really talented choreographers/dancers that have produced dances to this song, which are worth a look at just fore the facial expressions.
