Is This The Richest Wooden Base In Rust?
SebbyK gave himself a handicap for his one new video. In "Is This The Richest Wooden Base In Rust?", he and his regular partner Earl swear off farming sulfur, the resource Rust players normally grind for explosives, and try to get by on eco raids alone: breaking into bases with spears, tools and other cheap means instead of rockets and charges.
It is a very SebbyK premise. His about line promises that every video is a story and that he never posts PvP highlights, and this one is built the same way, as a wipe with a rule and a question in the title. It opened strongly, with close to 75,000 views on its first day.
The comments read like a regular Tuesday night crowd, with several viewers calling it Sebby Tuesday. Many are trading answers to one question, the most anyone has ever found inside a wooden base. One viewer jokes that he has permission to farm a little sulfur after all, and another heard the name Alvena in the video and used it to find an online friend from twelve years ago.
Trent, the player SebbyK went hunting for in last week's "7 Man Clan vs Spears - The Most Embarrassing Rust Defeat", turns up in the comments too, with one viewer still surprised he slipped away. That video is past 120,000 views.
With a single upload, the channel ran slower than usual across the week, and subscribers held at 459,000. Most of the shooter channels around its size were also below their own usual pace. HisWattson and Mactics had the big weeks, each close to three million views.

What viewers say
You said the name "Alvena" and it suddenly reminded me of the username of an online friend I used to game with about 12 years ago before we drifted apart. I paused the video, looked the name up, and found my friend again. We've been chatting for two hours like no time had passed. Thanks Sebby!

Do not torture yourself. Doing a lot of eco raids is enough. You have permission to farm a sulfur 🙂
