Microsoft, Infosys and Adobe suspended from PERM at Vance's visa fraud briefing
RSBN's uncut recording of the White House event drew a comment section about seventy times busier than its usual first day, on a day when Trump also handed national medals to tech leaders.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 411,967 views a day, 41 times a normal first day on this channel (9,960).
FULL EVENT: VP Vance Reveals Widespread H-1B Fraud in the United States - 10/08/26
Thirteen hours after it went up, RSBN's full recording of the White House briefing on visa fraud was close to 300,000 views. Its comment section moved faster still: more than 1,400 comments, on a channel where a regular video usually gathers about twenty on its first day.
The event runs as a relay at the podium, under a backdrop that reads "PROTECTING AMERICAN WORKERS." Vice President JD Vance speaks first and says the PERM program is suspended for Microsoft pending an investigation. He accuses the company of laying off thousands of Americans while hiring visa holders at lower pay. PERM is the Labor Department step an employer goes through to sponsor a foreign worker for a green card, so the suspension reaches past the H-1B visa itself. Vance also announces investigations into nine universities over J-1 visas. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling then puts the fraud his department found at $22 billion and suspends six outsourcing firms, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL and Capgemini, along with Microsoft and Adobe. Attorney General Todd Blanche and Stephen Miller follow.
RSBN also cut the Microsoft announcement and Miller's remarks into separate clips, and both ran well ahead of a usual video. The night before, its replay of Trump's San Antonio rally had passed half a million views. The briefing landed on a busy day for the channel's tech coverage: the same October 8, its cameras followed Trump presenting national medals to business leaders, among them Jensen Huang, Sergey Brin and Michael Dell.
Under the briefing, many viewers write about recent graduates who cannot find work. Several want the named companies taken to court, one asks investigators to look at the oil and gas industry next, and others call for schools to train young Americans for these jobs.
