An anechoic chamber with Davie504 keeps Rob Scallon humming

Rob posted nothing new, while the second Shure chamber video, a month old, drew about half a million views a day.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Quietest Room On EarthThe Quietest Room On Earth

Rob Scallon, whose about line says simply that he plays guitar for the internet, took a break from uploading. The channel kept going on silence, which is a fitting thing for a guitarist to sell.

The busiest video is "The Quietest Room On Earth," a month-old visit with Davie504 to an anechoic chamber at the microphone maker Shure. It is nearing eight million views, and it is moving well ahead of anything else on the channel. Its predecessor from two months back, "This room is SILENT!", shows the same trip with the same bass-playing Italian. It has passed nineteen million views and is still collecting steadily. Maybe people who find one go looking for the other?

The third video with real momentum comes from a different world entirely. "His Guitars are INSANE" is eleven days old and thanks Luca Stricagnoli, the Italian fingerstyle player known for multi-necked and custom-built acoustic guitars.

Among music and instrument channels, Rob sits third by subscribers. Andy Guitar and Steve Stine are both running a little above their usual pace.
