A Lego highbanker goes to the river with PioneerPauly
His one new upload is a toy-brick version of the sluice he uses for real gold, while a nugget wedged in bedrock does the heavy lifting.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Building And Finding GOLD With Our Lego Highbanker! #lego #gold
Gold fever and ADHD combined is how PioneerPauly describes his channel, and his only upload this week makes a good case for both halves. "Building And Finding GOLD With Our Lego Highbanker!" is exactly what it sounds like: a highbanker, the pump-fed sluice he normally hauls out to the river, rebuilt in Lego and then actually run for gold.
The comment section treats it as the playful detour it is. One viewer wonders how many mosquito bites the build cost him. Another is surprised he assembled it on the riverbank instead of at home. A third offers the inevitable plot twist that the gold was Lego too. It opened with a few thousand views on its first day, modest for a channel of 936,000 subscribers.
The real work is being done by older finds. "Gold Nugget Stuck In Bedrock Crack," five weeks old, is the busiest video on the channel right now. Close behind is a spring trip, "Highbanking For GOLD At The RICHEST Spot On The River..," which has passed 1.3 million views. Its chapters run from the hike in through two cleanups to a new cave and a final weigh-in.
Overall the channel ran a little slower than usual, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among the outdoors and homesteading channels near his size, the big weeks belonged elsewhere: Laura Farms ran at well over double its usual pace, and SensiblePrepper did much the same. Huw Richards and Landshark Outdoors were also a touch quieter than normal. For now, Pauly's audience seems happiest down in the bedrock, prying out nuggets the old-fashioned way.
