Avi Yemini's 'He admitted it ON CAMERA!' Short follows his October 7 vigil videos
The title keeps both the man and his admission a secret, and the comment section turned much of its attention to Pauline Hanson.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 91,942 views a day, 5.8 times a normal first day on this channel (15,779).
He admitted it ON CAMERA! 😳
"He admitted it ON CAMERA! 😳" is a Short from Avi Yemini, the Melbourne-based chief Australian correspondent for Rebel News. It went up the day after he spent the anniversary of October 7 at a vigil outside the State Library. A full day later it had passed 98,000 views, about six times what one of his Shorts usually draws on its first day.
The title promises a confession and stops there. It does not say who "he" is or what he admitted, and the Short carries no description to fill the gap.
The comments came in close to four times faster than usual. A good share of them are about Pauline Hanson: several viewers say the One Nation leader turns up at the end of the clip, and a number of others announce their vote. Much of the rest is aimed at the man on camera.
It was a crowded few days on the channel. Yemini's own clip from the vigil, which he says ended with a police officer threatening him, comes with a promise of a full video still to follow. Another Short teases what a woman "pulled out". On Friday he was back on Spring Street, streaming live as truckies, farmers, riders and emergency services volunteers rallied at Parliament House to press Victoria's leaders before the November state election. Across those days the channel ran at nearly twice its usual daily pace.
