Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

How To Cheap Audiophile in 2026

Homemade speaker cables sit alongside a streaming amplifier in Ron's budget-audio recipe, a useful contrast for a channel devoted to the listening experience rather than specs alone. New Record Day posted nothing new this week, but "How To Cheap Audiophile in 2026" remains its busiest video by daily views, nearly six months after publication.

The system combines a WiiM Amp Ultra, ELAC Debut 3 speakers and Monolith stands. Ron's description frames it as a return to his earlier Cheap and Cheerful HiFi idea, with room correction, Class D amplification and speaker placement all part of the discussion. The guide has reached about 177,000 views, and its practical premise gives viewers more to consider than a shopping list: where the speakers go matters, too.

Across the channel, subscribers stayed unchanged while views grew by roughly 66,000 over the week. The current daily audience is a little above normal. Among nearby technology channels, PositivePressure is having a substantially busier week, while A British Audiophile has added subscribers and drawn a larger weekly viewing total.

Ron's more recent "KEF, Hold My Beer — Buchardt Has Entered the Chat!" is also drawing attention. It compares the KEF LS LUXE and Buchardt Anniversary 10 through listening, measurements and recorded sound clips in the Sound Shed. Ron discloses that both companies supplied review pairs, with no payment or editorial control, and that KEF later let him keep its pair. The older "The $2,000 Speaker That's Hard to Argue Against" adds another route into the library: Dennis Murphy's Philharmonic BMR design, with a ribbon tweeter and Balanced Mode Radiator midrange.
