monium gives iPhone bend tests an arcade-prize comparison
A snapped plastic prize and a broken smartphone make the same joke in the clips channel's latest edit.
Why this story? One of the most watched videos since yesterday, with 7,558,445 views.
"It failed the durability test" 😭🙏
An animated arcade employee bends a red plastic prize until it snaps. In between, monium cuts to a phone reviewer's hands breaking a smartphone in half. The caption supplies the connection: "Tech youtubers the second a new iPhone releases".
The brief comedy edit drew about 7.6 million views since yesterday. It isn't a durability review itself: monium combines borrowed footage to poke fun at tests whose destructive outcome seems inevitable.
Viewers extend the premise with imaginary tests involving nuclear reactors, black holes and the sun. Others offer a distinction: standardized stress tests can help compare phones without representing everyday use.
monium has another version of the joke, too. A separate Short uses TechRax's footage of an iPhone Duo staircase drop, asking what phone could survive that treatment.
