A parked car and waving branches explain Moments Brain's running prank
The staged sketch has passed two million views, with a change of camera angle revealing the homemade illusion.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 3,464,794 views a day, 26 times a normal first day on this channel (134,770).
The Secret Prank! 🤯
Moments Brain's thirsty runner has a convincing request and a less convincing workout. Leaning toward a driver's open window, he asks for water, accepts a bottle and offers his thanks. Then the camera steps outside the car.
The vehicle isn't moving. Neither is the runner getting anywhere: he's jogging in place while an accomplice crouches beside him, waving leafy branches to make the background look as though it's rushing past. This is a staged comedy sketch, with the setup deliberately exposed as the punchline.
The Short drew about 2.3 million views in its first 12 hours, already far beyond the channel's usual full-day opening for that format. Other uploads about a disappearing shadow, straight-hair magic and a spinning wardrobe also made unusually fast starts.
Here, though, the trick needs no elaborate explanation. The wider shot supplies it: a parked car, a stationary runner and someone doing the scenery by hand.
