Max the Meat Guy's iconic-dish tour needs another plate

Big Macs, lettuce wraps and a Bloomin' Onion join the taste test, but viewers have a recurring request for Kyle.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Kyle's place at the table is not in question. His access to a plate, apparently, is. Under Max the Meat Guy's only new upload, viewers keep returning to that running joke, with requests for Kyle to get his own plate and remain part of the trio.

"I Ate Every ICONIC Dish in America" takes Max through signature restaurant orders, from the Big Mac to P.F. Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Outback's Bloomin' Onion. It has reached about 2.8 million views. The comments offer their own side dishes: arguments for putting Arby's sauce on the roast beef sandwich, explanations of Burger King's broiler, and appreciation for the editor keeping the dish rankings updated.

The restaurant tour is the channel's most active video right now, but "I Tried Your CRAZIEST Family Recipes" is drawing almost as many daily views. That earlier upload swaps recognizable chain orders for passed-down concoctions and salads without vegetables. September's "I Ranked EVERY Food at Costco" continues to attract viewers too, though at a much gentler pace than those two.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly 25 million, the largest total among the nearby food channels. Mark Wiens and Bobby Parrish also had busy weeks, while Joshua Weissman's daily viewing was quieter than usual. Max's subscriber count stayed unchanged, even as daily views ran above their usual level.

For all those familiar menu items, Kyle supplied the most persistent conversation starter: viewers even proposed a spinoff in which he reviews fruit cups.
