VisionQuest's Wednesday countdown inspires Ultron family jokes
Marvel's streaming promo has viewers discussing Vision's human side, while a New York Comic Con gallery explores his legacy through art.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 528,438 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (45,499).
Marvel Television's VisionQuest | This Wednesday | Only on Disney+
Ultron is being assigned a place in the family tree beneath Marvel's latest VisionQuest promo. Viewers joke about him as Vision's difficult dad and imagine a grandfatherly reunion, turning the familiar Marvel menace into an awkward relative.
The short promotional spot, advertising the series on Disney+ this Wednesday, has drawn about 364,000 views in its first 12 hours. That's already far beyond the usual first-day audience for Marvel's short uploads. Its comment section is also more than four times as busy as a typical full first day.
We've covered Ultron's return before, as we reported here. This time, alongside the reunion jokes, one viewer raises a different question: what does it mean for Vision to think and remember like a human without fully understanding his feelings? WandaVision made that tension central to its story, placing its artificial hero inside a succession of familiar sitcom worlds.
Marvel is giving that more reflective side a physical setting, too. A separate upload, "Welcome to The VisionQuest Collection.", introduces an immersive New York Comic Con pop-up gallery. According to its description, cast and crew explored Vision's mind and legacy through art. Between the family jokes and the gallery, this countdown has more on its mind than simply naming the next villain.

The Wednesday promo stands out against Marvel's usual short-video audience. A separate upload, "The big potato in question...", also made an unusually strong start.
