Marvel brings WandaVision back for a VisionQuest catch-up
The first three episodes are on the channel as Marvel adds about 100,000 subscribers in a day.
Why this story? The channel is adding 100,014 subscribers a day, 54 times a normal day (1,853).
Need a WandaVision refresher before VisionQuest? Marvel has made the first three episodes available on its channel, giving the new series a catch-up route through Wanda and Vision's earlier story.
That invitation arrives alongside an unusually large subscriber jump: about 100,000 in a day, compared with the channel's usual gain of fewer than two thousand. It is not part of a broader viewing surge, though. Daily views are well below their usual level, and what prompted the subscriber increase is not clear.
VisionQuest supplies the thread connecting Marvel's recent uploads. The first two episodes are streaming on Disney+, while the channel has posted two versions of "Losing My Mind: Official Clip | VisionQuest | Stream Now on Disney+". The Short reached roughly 125,000 views in its opening nine hours, a faster start than Marvel's Shorts usually get.
The surrounding posts reach further back, too. "Worthy from day one." points viewers toward Avengers: Age of Ultron, the film that introduced Paul Bettany's Vision. Between that reminder and the WandaVision episodes, Marvel is pairing its new series with the screen history behind its central character.
