Consent, role models and 'Problem Husbands' in Mai Zimmy's parenting opinions
The mom of three's sharpest upload in a while sits beside a decluttering test in which she says she tried every method, and a cleaning tip from late September that has passed 300,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
CONTROVERSIAL PARENTING OPINIONS ❌Problem Husbands❌
Three uploads, two moods. Mai Zimmy, who describes her channel as "the only thing that is mine anymore" between a pair of six-year-old twins and a four-year-old, spent the week swinging between the cleaning cupboard and some of the heavier questions of raising kids.
The heavy one did the most. "CONTROVERSIAL PARENTING OPINIONS ❌Problem Husbands❌" went up on Saturday and is nearing a quarter of a million views. Its comment section reads like a long conversation among parents. Many viewers take up the idea that talking to children about consent is only a starting point, and that kids learn just as much from watching how their parents treat each other. One question keeps coming back in different words: would you be happy if your son grew up to be exactly like his father?
Then came the lighter half. "10 SMART HABITS for AMBITIOUS but ✨LAZY PEOPLE✨" arrived on Monday, and on Wednesday came "✨BEST & WORST❌ DECLUTTERING METHODS! (i tried them ALL)", in which she ranks the methods she says she has tested. Two days in, the decluttering video is picking up views a little faster than the parenting one. An older cleaning tip, "❌IT'S NOT CLEAN❌ Unless you do this", is still finding people as well.
The channel as a whole ran a bit below its usual pace and held at about 355,000 subscribers, though it still gathered about a million views over the seven days. Among the home and DIY channels nearest its size, that was the third-biggest week. Dreamy Interior had an enormous one, Chris Garage78 a big one, and most of the others were quiet.

What viewers say
Consent is the start not the end . There is so much more
@homebodyhousewifeSee it on YouTubeI saw recently someone talking about coaching their kids on how to speak up or call others out when they see abuse and violence happening. We need to start with consent and then keep the conversation going!
@valeriemoseley879See it on YouTubeAnother aspect SO many forget is actively modelling respecting consent by respecting your children's ability to say no. Too many parents tell their kids about consent, then proceed to ignore their kids' attempts to say no. The lesson doesn't get learnt if you won't respect your kids.

Consent can be learned at such a young age bc it’s not just sex, it’s everything. Litteraly teaching your kid to respect “no” is gonna do wonders in the future, I also love what you said about the father figure, preach!
@Tendollarfoundingfather1776See it on YouTubeYES! Well said and of course it really is that deep!
