Squirrel receives Halloween gift

The squirrel got the spotlight. Localish's most-watched new upload, "Squirrel receives Halloween gift," reached about 30,000 views, turning a woman's seasonal animal-feeding tradition into the biggest draw of a twelve-upload week.

Costumes supplied plenty of other material, from "BeetleGoose, BeetleGoose, BeetleGoose!" to the Toy Story-inspired antics of "Where's Andy?! In a... Costco? 🤔" But the channel also made room for the people behind familiar childhood characters. "Winnie the Pooh turns 100!" features Jim Cummings, the bear's voice since 1988, while a visit to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria finds Jim Henson admirers marking his birthday with festivities spread across four days.

That Henson gathering has the second-strongest daily momentum among the channel's active uploads. The busiest is just outside this week's batch: "Gas station gourmet Gordo Ninos serves up a taste of Hou Mex," featuring Chef Machete's blend of Houston flavors and Mexican roots. Between a gas-station kitchen and a museum celebration, Localish's city-by-city remit gets a nicely varied outing.

The channel added roughly 367,000 views over seven days, with subscribers unchanged and daily viewing close to its usual level. It was a modest viewing week beside similarly sized broadcasters, including ITV News and BBC World Service, both of which added subscribers. Localish's own new slate kept its attention on smaller occasions: a beloved voice, a gathering of admirers and a gift for a squirrel.
