Night markets replace the studio for Lex Fridman and Jensen Huang

Fridman's only new upload follows the NVIDIA co-founder through Computex, Taiwanese meals and conversations about technology and childhood.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What does a Lex Fridman conversation look like when it leaves the podcast setup? In "Visiting Taiwan w/ Jensen Huang | Lex Fridman," the itinerary includes keynote nerves, braised pig's feet and more than one night market.

The week's sole upload is a travel video built around several days with Huang, NVIDIA's co-founder. Fridman's chapter list moves from Computex and Taiwan's technology history to Raohe night market, childhood memories, an NVIDIA party and Taiwanese breakfast. GPUs and AI have their own conversation, but they share the schedule with lunch. The video also includes sponsorships.

That change of format is a subject in the comments. Viewers ask for more travel videos, point out how much Fridman smiles and notice Huang accepting food and drinks handed to him. Others simply hadn't expected a vlog from a channel so closely associated with long interviews.

The Taiwan upload drew roughly 73,000 views in its first seven hours and is the channel's strongest source of daily views right now. Older conversations remain active too: historian Andrew Scull's interview has passed a million views, while the discussion with DHH, creator of Ruby on Rails, continues drawing viewers to programming, AI agents and Linux.

At just over five million subscribers, Fridman sits between Jay Shetty Podcast and Theo Von in audience size among these interview channels. Shawn Ryan Show had a particularly substantial week of views, while Jay Shetty added subscribers and is having a busier-than-usual day. For Fridman, the distinctive new addition is less another studio interview than an extended invitation to tag along, with technology talk tucked between meals.
