Lara has news: "I'm writing things!" joins the subway piano covers

The Australian pianist's one new upload is an announcement about writing, posted only hours ago, while a Veronicas cover from August keeps finding listeners.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

I’m writing things! Announcement!

Lara, the Australian musician behind lara6683, usually lets a piano do the talking. Her one upload of the past seven days does something different: "I'm writing things! Announcement!" is about words, not notes, and it went up only a few hours ago.

The title keeps the details close, but the first comments underneath are already reading it as a new chapter. One viewer looks forward to her essays and opinions, and another hopes a book deal follows. A third simply tells her to follow both her words and her music, which sounds like the right summary of a channel that has spent years on covers of game soundtracks, anime themes, pop, metal and Disney.

On the music side of the shelf, the busiest video right now is a subway piano version of "Untouched" by the Veronicas, the Brisbane twins' 2007 hit. It is seventy days old and still picks up new listeners every day, well ahead of her subway take on Robert Miles' trance classic "Children".

The channel, sitting at 350,000 subscribers, ran a little slower than usual this week, with about 35,000 views. Among the music lesson and instrument channels near her size, Andrew Piano is having the big week, while Lara spent hers getting ready to write.
