Half a Zendaya portrait becomes JULIA GISELLA's progress check

Markers, colored pencils and gouache turn a torn drawing into a side-by-side comparison of her skills.

I can’t believe I DESTROYED my ZENDAYA drawing 😭 was it worth it?! | JULIA GISELLA

Tearing the paper is only the beginning. JULIA GISELLA removes half of a Zendaya portrait she made a year earlier, places fresh paper beside what remains and starts drawing the missing side again. The point isn't simply to replace it: she wants to see how much her technique has changed.

With no new uploads this week, that month-old Short remains the channel's busiest video, now past six million views. Alcohol markers lay down the base colors, colored pencils add hair and fine detail, and gouache supplies painted touches. The surviving half of the original gives the finished work its own built-in comparison. There's a hidden emoji to look for, too.

The channel added roughly 7.4 million views over the week, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is currently less than half its usual level, so this is a slower stretch rather than a fresh burst. Among nearby art and craft channels, Justin Flom had a particularly busy week; SIMJI and TD BRICKS also drew substantial weekly audiences.

Zendaya features twice among JULIA GISELLA's three busiest uploads right now. Alongside the torn-portrait makeover, "is my drawing of Zendaya REAL or AI?😳 | JULIA GISELLA" keeps the attention on the drawing itself, this time through a question about how it was made.
