Such an honor to return for the 81st Al Smith Foundation Memorial Dinner. Full set on my channel.

"Robert Kraft is here tonight. Moving on." Jim Gaffigan needs little more than a name and a strategic retreat to get a laugh at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner.

He has just announced that nobody is off limits. What follows is a sports roast with some very conspicuous targets sitting within sight of the podium. The excerpt has reached roughly 275,000 views, with an opening-day audience about six times the usual start for his Shorts.

Jets owner Woody Johnson gets a less merciful introduction than Kraft. Gaffigan credits Johnson's charity work, adding, "and not just in the AFC East." From there, the team's long championship drought becomes an opportunity to take aim at the wealthy dinner guests, too.

Then Governor Kathy Hochul gets the Buffalo treatment. Gaffigan compares her election prospects with a team whose promising starts don't necessarily settle anything: "The Buffalo Bills always look good around this time of the year too."

Hochul laughs, covers her face and picks up a Bills cap from the table. Gaffigan supplies the follow-up: "Thank God Kathy is not running against the Kansas City Chiefs."

For a comedian whose enduring channel favorites include McDonald's and Hot Pockets, this is a different kind of familiar frustration. The full hosting set is also available on his channel as "Jim Gaffigan Hosts 81st Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner (FULL SET 2026)".
