Winning the Ballon d'Or comes with a practical problem: getting it home safely. Harry Kane's solution is to give the gold football its own seatbelt.

In footage released by Bayern Munich and posted by ITV News, Kane sits beside the trophy in the back of a car, pulls the belt across it and fastens the buckle. He adjusts the strap, then gives the ball a pat and looks toward the camera. There is no speech, just a footballer taking care of a particularly important passenger.

The Short reached roughly 84,000 views in 16 hours, already far beyond ITV News' usual first-day audience for that format.

It is a small, unceremonious follow-up to Kane receiving the award at the London Palladium, where he thanked Bayern, England and Tottenham. In the comments, viewers bring up memories of his Spurs career, while another turns the journey into a familiar football refrain: the trophy really is coming home.
