Cowboy boots complicate Bensei's meteor-hammer lesson for Jack

The ice-block trick shot starts with a wooden target, patient coaching and a student dressed for a different kind of footwork.

Jack was REALLY excited to do a trickshot. #benseiarmy #meteorhammer #trickshot

Jack wants to get straight to smashing the ice. Bensei removes it from the stand instead. "We're doing this in stages, and you are definitely not starting with that," the instructor tells him.

That patient route to a trick shot has drawn roughly 235,000 views in 11 hours, already far beyond instructor_bensei's usual full-day audience for a Short. The comment section is several times busier than a typical first day, too.

The lesson turns a spectacular-looking strike into smaller tasks: raise the knee, position the hand, launch the meteor hammer and find the right distance from the target. Jack has an additional obstacle. "Man, this is much harder in cowboy boots," he says, practicing in jeans while Ben coaches in galaxy-patterned pants.

A wooden block takes the place of the ice until Jack can knock it off. Only then does Ben restore the original target, guiding him through slower practice swings before the full attempt.

An early birthday-present Short is also drawing an unusually quick audience on the channel, but Jack's lesson has the larger start of the pair.

In the comments, viewers pick up on Ben's encouraging instructions and Jack's boots-and-jeans approach. Others have identified a less technical requirement for the trick shot: a pair of galaxy pants of their own.
