Housing questions and government introductions share I'm Canada's week

Steven MacKinnon joins Meet Your Government, alongside an immigration-law explainer on post-graduation work permit refusals.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

I'm Canada posted four videos that move between the big immigration debate and the practical questions of building a life in the country. One asks the housing minister whether buying a home will ever be possible; another introduces viewers to Transport Minister Steven MacKinnon in the seventh episode of Meet Your Government.

The largest audience among the new uploads went to "Reacting to @PredictiveHistory on Canada, immigration and Mark Carney… Professor Jiang," with about 2,700 views. But the MacKinnon episode is drawing the most daily views right now, despite arriving later in the week. The housing question attracted a smaller audience than either of those political conversations.

The most directly useful counterpoint is "How to Fix Any PGWP Refusal - Immigration Lawyer Explains." PGWP means post-graduation work permit, and the episode organizes refusal scenarios around whether the applicant still has status and which application or restoration windows remain. Its chapter list also makes room for documentation, lost full-time student status and the question of when the application clock starts. That is a close fit with the channel's stated mission of simplifying complex information for new Canadians and aspiring immigrants.

The subscriber audience stayed unchanged over the week, while today's views are nearly twice the channel's usual daily level. Among nearby-sized commentary channels, Interesting Times had a much larger weekly view gain and added subscribers. I'm Canada's smaller week, meanwhile, offered both a ministerial introduction and a deadline-focused immigration guide.
