What does a lifestyle vlogger do when the vlog turns into a stage? Evelyn Ha, who started her channel to document her life in her 20s, spent the week showing two firsts: rehearsals for a live show and what she calls the sisters' very first acting gig.
Both went up on October 1. "PRACTICING FOR OUR LIVE SHOW BTS!" is the rehearsal tape, and its description is a simple countdown: see you tomorrow, October 2, Town Hall. That is the historic Midtown Manhattan theater, a long way from a bedroom camera. "Our Very First Acting Gig!!!" follows Evelyn and her sisters on the set of an ad, and it has passed 330,000 views. The comments have a running joke of their own. The video appears to have gone up once before, and many of the most liked replies wink about having already seen it. Others single out Erica's acting, the friendly crew, and a cameraman teasing Evelyn's line about having so many lines. Plenty also ask where the Italy vlog went.
The acting video is the one with the most momentum, ahead of an eleven-day-old fall vlog shot partly at the rehearsal studio. The channel's daily views are running well below its usual pace, though it still added about 2,000 subscribers.
Among vlog channels close to her size, Evelyn is one of the smaller ones by subscribers but drew the most views of the group over the seven days, ahead of Talia Mar+ and Hannah Adkins. Milissa Grande and Hannah Renee had calmer stretches.
