Godfrey Twins put an ad break between you and dinner

"Fridges in 2050" brings the Irish twins' futuristic advertising jokes into the kitchen, alongside another random-drink challenge.

No. 61 on the daily chart

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Opening the fridge should be the easy part. In the Godfrey Twins' "Fridges in 2050", a man reaches the shelves only to find a projected advert blocking access to his food. He waits, watches the countdown and finally presses "Skip Ad" before reaching inside.

The staged sketch moves the intrusive-advertising idea from the mirror, as we reported here, to somewhere with rather more urgent business. It has reached roughly 2.8 million views, making it the most watched new upload of Matthew and Daniel's seven-release week and their most active video right now.

Viewers are extending the joke into a whole household billing system: separate subscriptions for water, ice and freezer access, plus a premium option to remove the ads. Others point out that fridge screens already exist, or imagine how much more complicated a midnight snack could become.

There was familiar territory alongside the futuristic kitchen. "Yes or No? (Make a random drink challenge) Part 116" passed two million views, while "Only Eating Emoji Foods for a Full Day!" supplied another food-based assignment. The newer "Game of Lies (Part 34)" is currently drawing views faster than the drink challenge, though neither approaches the fridge sketch's daily audience.

The channel added subscribers over the week, with daily views running a little above their usual level. Among nearby sketch channels, Cam2r and al jokes had particularly busy viewing weeks; the Godfrey Twins' weekly total was close to Auntie Charli's. Their own lineup finished with a more personal source of mischief: "Making My Twin Brother Think Our House Is Haunted 😂".

  • then if it's an unskippable ad, it makes that annoying beeping sound that drives you crazy.
  • You can buy the No ad bundle for the low price of $999.99 a month 😂
  • Most realistic part, shutting the fridge without getting anything only to open it again
