Wales against Haaland's Norway runs nearly seventy times past FOX Sports' usual start

Which Nations League match did FOX Sports' soccer viewers want this time? Wales against Norway. Seven hours after the highlights went up, they had passed 300,000 views. A usual new video on the channel collects only a small fraction of that in a full day.
The pattern is familiar. Belgium against France opened fast earlier in the week, as we reported here, and Spain against Croatia followed. This reel is billed around Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker who carries Norway's attack, and FOX's description puts his name first. The comment section, though, is mostly about the other team. Viewers keep praising Sorba Thomas, the Welsh winger in the No. 19 shirt, for driving almost every attack. Others point to a goal and a knee-slide celebration about seven minutes into the reel, and one question with plenty of replies asks whether Haaland was off his game. A red card that many felt came far too easily is the other talking point.
The most-liked comments are not about the soccer at all. Viewer after viewer says the audio sounds hollow, as if the commentary and the crowd were recorded inside a tunnel.
The same match produced a smaller hit. A short in which a player borrows Cristiano Ronaldo's famous celebration ran about seven times past a usual first day. Both arrived as the channel as a whole was running below its normal daily pace, so on this day the European soccer clips did much of the work. Tom Brady carried the channel a day earlier. His newest segment, about meatball subs and the Bears' Case Keenum, was still gathering its first few thousand views.
