Barely a day old, the highlights from Belgium against France in the UEFA Nations League are moving at a pace that briefly makes a soccer clip the center of a very American sports channel.

A new FOX Sports upload usually starts slowly. This one opened at more than a hundred times the channel's normal first-day rate. At that speed, the single video is running at well over half of what the entire channel typically draws in a day. That is unusual for a feed whose description leans on the NFL, college football, MLB and NASCAR, with soccer coming in through FS2.

The description frames the game around Kevin De Bruyne and Belgium facing a French attack with Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembélé. De Bruyne built his name over a decade in midfield at Manchester City. Dembélé won the World Cup with France in 2018, the same tournament in which France knocked Belgium out in the semifinal. The two countries also met in the Nations League in 2021, when France came back to beat Belgium on the way to the title.
