A tiny camper for a 2005 Suzuki Carry keeps Drew Builds Stuff rolling

Built in fiberglass for the bed of a Japanese mini truck, the five-month-old camper has passed five million views.

No new builds, no slowdown. Drew posted nothing this week, and the channel he describes as having no specific theme carried on with three projects that share one after all: small, self-made places to stay.

The busiest is "Making a TINY CAMPER for my TINY TRUCK - Full Build," in which he frames, insulates, plumbs, wires and fiberglasses a lightweight camper for the bed of his 2005 Suzuki Carry, the kind of Japanese kei truck that barely looks big enough to carry a camper at all. Posted about five and a half months ago, it has passed five million views and still draws more each day than anything else on the channel.

Behind it comes the newest of the three, "Solving My #2 Problem... Off-Grid Bathroom Full Build." The title's joke is literal. Up in Muskoka, Drew built a bathroom and utility room from the footings up, with slate floors, white oak walls, solar panels and batteries, and an incinerating toilet to get around a septic problem. Seven weeks in, it is close to two million views.

The third is the one that started this run of small buildings: "TINY COTTAGE IN THE WOODS - Full DIY Build," a 107-square-foot bunkie that, as the description notes, needs no building permit in Ontario. Nearly a year old, it has the largest total of the three and is still finding viewers. All three are told the same way, with narration, ASMR sound and soft music.

Among similar channels, Eoin Reardon and RUDAN BROTHERS are the ones having a busy stretch, while jimmydiresta is running a little below his usual pace. With close to two million subscribers, Drew sits fourth by size in this group.
