Clock Simulator, in rhythm: DougDoug Clips finds a heartbeat
A stream cut built on a ticking-clock game and a beat drew comparisons to Rhythm Heaven, while a clip about only talking to rich people moved fastest.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This video feels like a heart attack
DougDoug Clips, the official clips channel for the Twitch streamer DougDoug, usually brings in a little under 300,000 views a day. Right now it is running somewhat above that, and three uploads in seven days did most of the work.
The one with the loudest comment section is "This video feels like a heart attack." Its tags point to Clock Simulator, the game in which watching time pass is more or less the whole point, and to rhythm. Viewers describe Doug turning it into a rhythm game, and the most liked joke says he reinvented Rhythm Heaven from first principles. One long comment argues over tempos, pointing out that a 180 bpm beat would have lined up with the clock's seconds. Others are simply delighted that he played it at all, and a few joke that he came out of retirement just to do it.
The newest clip, "Why I only talk to rich people," is the one moving fastest, a couple of days old and gathering views several times quicker than the clock video. Its description keeps up the joke in the title, with a viewer dreaming of being rich enough to talk to Doug directly instead of through his butler. The week opened with "FANTASY FOOTBALL FRIDAY WHOOOO," soundtracked, true to the channel's habit, by NFL Blitz quarter themes and Madden 97's menu music.
About a thousand new subscribers arrived. Among the stream-highlight channels nearest its size, only Esfand added more views over the week, while Scotty also ran a little above his usual pace.

@GJEXATRONSee it on YouTubeThe fact that 180bpm would’ve not only been synced up with clock sim with every three beats being a second but also much more similar to the actual song than 120 or 240 pains me
