A missing cap gives DoingItCheap a quarter's worth of hindsight
PawPaw's sole upload turns an expensive replacement and a long drive into a lesson in keeping track of small parts.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
25 cents could have saved me $38 15 and 40 miles of driving
Saving money sometimes starts with remembering where you put the cap. PawPaw's only new upload, "25 cents could have saved me $38 15 and 40 miles of driving," makes an everyday mistake the subject of his latest DoingItCheap lesson.
The fuel-cap fix has drawn about 4,400 views and is the most active of the channel's highlighted uploads. Viewers are swapping their own cap mishaps: one remembers finding an oil cap under the hood after noticing smoke, while another recalls discovering a missing cap only after paying for its replacement. Someone else misses PawPaw's weekly live shows, a reminder that the company matters here as well as the repairs.
Across the channel, daily viewing is almost exactly at its usual level, and the subscriber count was unchanged over the week. Nearby outdoors channels had busier viewing weeks, including Sort Of Interesting with its countryside observations, but DoingItCheap's week stayed small and practical.
The older review "PawPaw Reviews the 30\" Metal Brake from Harbor Freight and Central Machinery" also continues to pick up views. Between sheet-metal tools and a cap worth keeping attached, it fits PawPaw's stated reason for making the channel: leaving his grandchildren something they can learn from.

Had my 1st oil changed on my brand new vehicle up in Michigan while on vacation. On the way back I notice a little smoke coming our from under the hood. There sat the oil cap sitting on the air filter. Don't feel bad..it happens to the best of them. And he was at least 20 yrs younger than us. Thank you and God Bless.
