The laptop gets a jack-o'-lantern face instead of a repair. Outside Digital Doctor's shop, an artist is turning familiar tech troubles into Halloween window decorations, with a ghost rising from a cracked screen.

The first-person Short has drawn roughly 380,000 views before its first full day is over, already more than five times the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts. It's a change of pace from the soldering attempts, damaged phones and repair-price conversations surrounding it on the channel.

The camera belongs to the artist's borrowed eyewear. "Leo had me put on his fancy glasses," she explains as the drawings take shape. Orange, purple, green and blue accents brighten the glass, and a second ghost gets headphones. Passing pedestrians stop to chat while she works.

Viewers are picking out the laptop and the ghost emerging from the broken phone, while others joke about Leo's glasses getting an assignment away from the repair bench. Several also discuss window painting itself, including whether drawing inside would better protect the artwork.

An employee comes outside to pay the artist before she adds the finishing touches. For all the bright color covering the storefront, the cleanup sounds considerably simpler than a device repair: she explains that the chalk wipes off dry, without glass cleaner.
