Harry Kane Wins The 2026 Ballon d’Or 🏆 🥳

Harry Kane has to get through the hugs and handshakes before he can get his hands on the trophy. Once his name is announced, DAZN Football's clip stays with him as he reacts in the audience and makes his way toward the stage.

That short journey has drawn an estimated 2.3 million views in its first day, far beyond the channel's usual start for a Short. The comments arrived roughly five hundred times faster than usual, too.

The clip begins with the envelope opening. Kane's name follows, then applause and a succession of greetings down the aisle. By the time he reaches the microphone, the golden trophy is in his hands. This is the moment before the acceptance speech: the announcement, the reaction and the walk that connects them.

Viewers keep returning to Kane's path from Tottenham to Bayern Munich. Others focus on receiving the award from Ronaldo Nazário, describing the handover as a meeting of strikers from different generations. One Arsenal supporter sets club loyalties aside to praise the former Spurs player's professionalism.

The ceremony is producing several widely watched clips for DAZN Football, including Thierry Henry questioning Lamine Yamal, the strikers' awards and Bukayo Saka receiving the Socrates Award. There is also a separate Kane karaoke clip: a rather different use of the microphone from his acceptance speech.

What viewers say

This is literally childhood dreams kind of stuff. Getting the Ballon D'Or from Ronaldo Nazario. Amazing.

Even as an Arsenal fan, there is no way I can dislike a former Spurs player as classy and professional as this man. Well deserved. A world class striker without the ego.
