Why this story? The channel is adding 100,036 subscribers a day, 102 times a normal day (985).

CG5 ROBLOX CONCERT!! (11 MILLION SUBS)

CG5 added about 100,000 subscribers in a day, a striking departure from his usual pace. The channel has reached 11 million, and the celebration has a suitably game-centered setting: an upload titled "CG5 ROBLOX CONCERT!! (11 MILLION SUBS)".

For a musician whose catalog turns games into songs, Roblox fits the occasion. His most watched regular upload is "CG5 - Sleep Well (from Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3)", while his enduring hits also include songs inspired by Among Us and a remix of The Living Tombstone's "I Got No Time". Those are different game worlds, but they share a place in CG5's musical catalog.

The concert upload sits alongside a countdown video, "Counting down from 10 without telling anyone what would happen", and a more cryptic announcement, "Something Insane Is Coming". Their arrival makes this a busy stretch beyond the subscriber milestone, though it is not clear what drove the sudden increase.

There is one detail CG5 does clear up himself. The Living Tombstone's appearance in "Something Insane Is Coming" is a cameo for fun, he says in the description, not an announcement that they are touring together.
