Halsey - Gasoline

A hidden package, police at the door and a pink Mustang waiting for the desert: "Halsey - Gasoline" gives this upload-free week a story of its own. Halsey plays multiple roles in the retro-futuristic video, following a courier from an apartment escape to a diner and a neon-lit ramen stand.

Released as part of Badlands' tenth-anniversary celebration, the video was written and directed by Halsey, with Tyler Posey also credited among its stars. Its mysterious deliveries are drawing about 11,000 views a day, making it the fastest-moving of the channel's highlighted uploads right now.

That changes the balance from the week we covered in September, when "Halsey - The Girl In The Tower (Live)" was moving slightly faster. The concert film remains active, with more than four million views. Halsey's involvement extends well beyond performing: its credits include direction, concept, shared creative direction and set design, plus hair and makeup. "Halsey - Drive (Official Music Video)" adds another Badlands-era thread to the channel's current viewing.

The subscriber audience held steady, while Sia, Michael Jackson's channel and CG5 each added subscribers this week. For Halsey, the activity is in the existing work: a self-made concert world on one side, and a desert full of secret deliveries on the other.
