calithekid's Tesla Roadster clip draws AI questions
The Short promises a demo car with a "rocket feature," but viewers are discussing the voice and whether the footage is real.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 48,366 views a day, 26 times a normal first day on this channel (1,881).
Calithekid’s brand new $500k Tesla Roadster should I make it fly? 😱👀
calithekid puts a flying-car question in the title, but the car stays on the ground. In his fast-starting Tesla Roadster Short, a driver introduces what he calls a demo car, says he has it for a day and mentions a "rocket feature" before driving onto a gravel lot.
The clip drew about 44,000 views in its first nineteen hours, well beyond the channel's usual first-day audience of a few thousand for Shorts. Its unusually busy comment section, though, is less concerned with rocket propulsion than with artificial intelligence.
Several viewers identify the footage as AI-generated, while others point to the voice as the detail that makes them suspicious. Those comments do not establish how the clip was made. The video presents the car as real, with an on-screen declaration of "First person with a Tesla Roadster."
That leaves a useful distinction between the title's ownership tease and what the driver actually says: "This is one of the demo cars. I have it for the next 24 hours." There is no flight demonstration. The final flourish is a deploying rear wing as the white sports car pulls away.
