A stew on a hotplate and a doomed potato: 'Bruh…' nears two million

Eleven uploads mixed cooking roasts with farm-minded money talk, and the channel added 30,000 subscribers in seven days.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Bruh…Bruh…

"Bruh…" is the whole title, and for a Farming While Beige cooking roast, that is about all the setup it needs. The video puts someone else's stew under his commentary. Judging by the comments, there was a beef shank, collard greens, a habanero and a potato that tried to escape the pot and was dragged back. Viewers keep quoting his lines back to him, "welfare witchcraft" most of all, and the stew cooked outside on a hotplate has become its own joke. Posted on September 28, it is close to two million views.

It was one of eleven uploads, and the rest show the channel's other side: the farmer with opinions about money. "Lower prices are not necessarily a conspiracy" and "Short-term thinking means stepping over dollars to pick up pennies" sound like chapters from the first-generation farming blueprint his about text promises. "Standing on the shoulders of your ancestors does not make you a giant" is still gathering views four days in. There was also a story about getting kicked out of his own bachelor party, and a look at a channel called SadBeige whose "run to target" series he describes as some of the most unsettling performance art he has seen.

The kitchen got the last word, though. "Unwashed hands and unseasoned chicken 🤮" is only a day old and is already the channel's fastest-moving video.

All of it added up to more than 30 million views in seven days, well above the channel's usual pace and the biggest weekly haul among the outdoors and homesteading channels close to its size. LastBush Survival and MyLifeOutdoors are having lively weeks of their own, while Joe Robinet is running close to his normal rhythm.
