Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

LEAFS PLAYERS TEST THEIR MINOR HOCKEY MEMORY

Remembering your own hockey stats sounds easy until someone else has done the homework. BarDown's "LEAFS PLAYERS TEST THEIR MINOR HOCKEY MEMORY" asks Toronto players to revisit their earliest playing days, trading the usual season-preview questions for childhood memories and guesses about their old numbers.

The video drew about 131,000 views, making it the biggest new upload of BarDown's four-video week and its most active video right now. Auston Matthews and Jack Roslovic feature in the audience conversation: viewers mention young players writing letters to Matthews, while the depth of the research has several comparing BarDown's approach to Nardwuar, the interviewer famous for surprising guests with remarkably specific discoveries about their past.

A separate McKenna clip tells the story of a Steven Stamkos cardboard cutout he once stole. Two more uploads continue the channel's career-story format, including a BarDown Plinko installment, though their titles leave the featured names as a discovery for the viewer.

BarDown's subscriber count stayed unchanged over the week. Its weekly viewing sat around the middle of nearby sports channels, with BellProductions having a particularly large week; BarDown added more views than Fantasy Football Today. Daily viewing is currently less than half its usual level.

The off-ice interviews remain the main draw. Just behind the Leafs memory test are "HOW WELL CAN THE WINNIPEG JETS FLY... A JET?!", with Jesse dressed as a flight attendant for the players' surprise flying test, and "MONTREAL CANADIENS REACT TO THEIR OLD SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS!" Hockey media day, apparently, can also mean revisiting your Instagram history.

I’ve been waiting for a new one. I love when the leafs do stuff like this, the Sobeys video they did a while back and the Tims run are my favorites.

Shoutout to whoever put this together. Clearly a lot of effort and research went into it, and I'm sure the players appreciated it. One of the best of these types of videos I've seen.
