I added players that CARRIED their Nations!
What does a football creator post when the biggest name in the game walks away from his national team? For ASP FC, the answer was "I added players that CARRIED their Nations!", and it became the most watched of his eight uploads this week, close to a million and a half views in four days.
The idea is the channel's usual one, a squad built around a theme, but the comments turned it into something else. Viewers read it as a tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo after his exit from Portugal's camp. Many thank ASP for standing by the player, others go back to the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016, and a few Messi fans join in to say Ronaldo earned the respect anyway. Batman's line about dying a hero turns up more than once.
The rest of the week stayed close to the headlines. Manchester City, freshly found guilty, were banished to the Indian Super League. Two "Aura" videos sorted players who gained and lost it. A list of great players who never won the Premier League, and another of players who do not look their age, came next. The newest, "I gave Mbappe FULL CONTROL of Real Madrid!", is only a day old and already the quickest mover on the channel.
Together the week added about 25 million views and some 12,000 subscribers, the most views gained among the sports-game channels of his size. AuzioMF and DannyAaronsRTG also had busy weeks, while xDuttinho and Harry Hesketh kept things quiet.
