An underwater treadmill in the garage, built for Teddy the golden retriever

The project video went up on September 30, three days after a short spooky-season clip that has already passed 290,000 views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Spooky season is upon us. .

Six hours old and already past 30,000 views, Teddy's garage gym is the newest thing on the channel. In "I Built My Dog an Underwater Treadmill in My Garage!" the man behind AGuyAndAGolden clears part of the garage, installs the treadmill and follows the project from setup to the finished result. The description admits that this takes spoiling Teddy to a whole new level, and the video ends on the question that matters: whether the golden retriever approves.

It was one of just two uploads. The other, "Spooky season is upon us. .", landed on September 27 with a title that says little beyond the time of year. It is the busiest video on the channel right now, close to 300,000 views in four days. Behind it, two older videos are still drawing steady audiences. One is a nine-day-old experiment with three dogs and, as its title puts it, zero cares. The other is from late August, about Teddy's shenanigans with his baby sister, and it is nearing 800,000 views.

Among the pet and animal channels nearest AGuyAndAGolden in size, TerraGreen is the one with the big stretch, running at well over twice its usual daily views. Corbin Maxey is quieter than normal. The channel itself sits at about 5.45 million subscribers, built on the regular slots listed in its about text, from Movie Night to Teddy Tuesdays to Shelter Dog Saturday.
