A fake iPhone trailer nears two million views for Z dotss
Seventeen days after it went up, 'POV : THE NEW IPHONE TRAILER' is the channel's busiest video by a wide margin, with no new uploads beside it.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
POV : THE NEW IPHONE TRAILER
No uploads, one runaway. Z dotss posted nothing new this week, and a parody from mid-September did the work instead.
"POV : THE NEW IPHONE TRAILER" is the sketch comedian's take on the glossy launch film every phone season brings, and at seventeen days old it is close to 1.9 million views. It is still drawing tens of thousands a day, about twenty-five times the pace of anything else on the channel. Perhaps the timing helps: a joke about a phone trailer lands best while people are still deciding whether to upgrade.
Behind it, two summer pieces keep a gentler rhythm. One has Dr Doom reacting to the Avengers: Doomsday lineup, a nod to the Marvel film in which Robert Downey Jr. returns as the villain. The other is a World Cup rap made for the 2026 tournament. Both have passed well over a million views, and both still pick up a few thousand a day.
Among the sketch channels nearest in size, sitting fifth of nine by subscribers, the big stretch belongs to Jake Rasmussen and Josiah Schneider, both running well above their usual daily views. Z dotss, at about 2.3 million subscribers, spent the week letting one fake trailer play.
