Hit send, walk away: Zane Hoyer hands a client edit to AI
The finished clip features his client Megan explaining why being a creator "is not a real job," cut, graded and scored inside DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
AI Edited My ENTIRE Video in DaVinci Resolve (One Prompt)
"AI Edited My ENTIRE Video in DaVinci Resolve (One Prompt)" opens with a confident claim from Zane Hoyer: "And once I upload it to this agent, my work here is essentially finished." It was the Canadian editor's only upload of the week, and it puts that claim to a real test using a client's raw footage.
The setup takes him about a minute on screen. He connects OpenAI's Codex to DaVinci Resolve Studio 21, links OpenArt through a plugin, and pastes in a long master prompt that he says took $700 of testing to refine. The instructions go well beyond trimming pauses. "I didn't want it to just cut out spaces in my video, I wanted it to optimize for retention," he explains. The agent is asked to color grade with LUTs, balance the dialogue, handle sound design and build its motion graphics natively in Fusion, so they stay open for a human to adjust. His estimate for running it: roughly $3 a video.
Then comes the payoff. The vertical clip plays in full, with his client Megan opening on a deliberately provocative line: "Being a creator is not a real job, and for a good reason. Let me explain."
The comments split between craft and career. The most liked one asks, half joking, whether editors are "cooked." Others point out that sound design is where similar experiments usually fall short, ask to see the untouched footage, and suggest a human would have cut it with more feeling. Several want Hoyer to make a video about where editing goes next.
The experiment has passed 100,000 views and is easily the channel's busiest video right now, ahead of his three-hour Resolve course. Overall, daily viewing sits right at its usual level, and about a thousand subscribers joined over the week. Among similar-sized creative channels, Max Adams and FelicitaAroma had far bigger viewing weeks, while Go Magic's looked much like Hoyer's.
For anyone who would rather learn the moves than delegate them, "How to Edit Intros That Are Impossible to Skip | DaVinci Resolve" is still drawing views, a reminder that the person writing the prompt learned the job by hand first.

@RabiulHasanShohag-v4vSee it on YouTube0:49 here is the only prompt that we need. The prompt: the entire encyclopedia of editing, designing and 10 years of workflow experience
@mariusoraniSee it on YouTubeThe big one here is the audio; so many of the "I edited my X video..." do fine on the motion graphics stuff, but completely drop anything around sound design. Makes a huge difference to the quality of the outputs

It would be really valuable if you made a video about how you see the future of editing, because with your knowledge, you definitely have a lot to say.
