No. 10 on the song chart

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Zach Bryan - Lies (feat. Lana Del Rey) (Official Audio)

Piano opens the door, Zach Bryan sings first, and Lana Del Rey joins him in a song where comfort and honesty aren't quite the same thing. "Zach Bryan - Lies (feat. Lana Del Rey) (Official Audio)" has passed a million views since its October 16 release, making it the most-watched of his ten uploads this week.

There is no performance film to distract from the voices, just static cover art. Del Rey takes the second verse before the pair meet in harmony, working through broken promises and the temptation to accept reassurance instead of the truth. In the comments, listeners single out her little laugh before her entrance, recall her collaboration with Matt Maeson on "Hallucinogenics," and ask for more folk and country material from her.

The other substantial invitation is to sit on the porch. "Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs - On The Porch (With Matthew McConaughey)" brings Bryan and the actor together in the Appalachian hills to discuss music, God and their lives. The description bills it as Bryan's first public interview in years, tied to his new book and EP.

Those two uploads also have the channel's strongest daily momentum, followed by "Zach Bryan - Lodi When (Official Audio)." Elsewhere in the new batch, "Zach Bryan - Plainsman (feat. Turnpike Troubadours) (Official Audio)" adds another collaboration to the listening queue.

Across the channel, Bryan added roughly 26 million views over seven days, the largest weekly gain among the country and folk peers with comparable totals available. His subscriber count stayed unchanged. It's a busy release week without a corresponding expansion in subscribers, with the new duet and the unusually personal porch conversation supplying its two distinct centers.

This collab reminded me of that time she sang Hallucinogenics with Matt Maeson. She just elevates any song.
