Eddie's new favorite game, played without Eddie: The Boys hunt SCP anomalies

The squad's tactical shooter outing passed a quarter of a million views on its first day, and its comments keep pointing at the empty seat.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Boys Hunt for SCP ANOMALIES!!!The Boys Hunt for SCP ANOMALIES!!!

Eleven hours after it went up, "The Boys Go Rafting…" was already past 150,000 views and pulling in more daily traffic than anything else on the channel. The title gives away nothing beyond the river, and the trailing dots do the rest.

The week's most watched upload, though, is the one from Tuesday. "The Boys Hunt for SCP ANOMALIES!!!" puts Josh, Mully and Juicy in a hardcore tactical shooter, described as a game of real guns, reality-bending anomalies and monsters, played in raids of three. That squad size explains the funniest thing in the comment section. Eddie had already played the game on his own and said he could not wait to play it with the others, and then the others played it without him. Viewers have noticed, many times over.

They also point to a passing Oompaville mention around the 22-minute mark, Mully shouting at bots to be his friends because he took them for real players, and Juice being suspiciously good at playing an AI. A few want Narrator brought in next time.

Five uploads went up in all, including short clips of Juicy losing focus over a worm. The channel's daily views are running a little above their usual level, while the subscriber count held steady at about 1.4 million. Among the let's-play and variety channels near its size, Northernlion and Blarg are having the loudest weeks, and The Boys sit comfortably in the middle of the group.
